Chase Abstract LLC is a well-established title insurance company with over 20 years of industry experience. We are growing and looking to strengthen our financial oversight by hiring an experienced bookkeeper who can work closely with our current in-house bookkeeper to maintain accuracy, compliance, and clarity across our accounts.
Role Overview:
We're seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented, and highly experienced bookkeeper who can handle the full scope of financial recordkeeping and reconciliation—especially as it relates to a title insurance environment.
You will support and collaborate with our in-house bookkeeper and management to maintain clean books, prevent financial waste, and streamline vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Full-scope account reconciliation, including:
Operating and checking accounts
Credit cards
Digital payments (Zelle, credit card processors, etc.)
Vendor & subscription management:
Review and audit recurring charges
Cancel unnecessary or duplicate services
Follow up with vendors to settle bills or request refunds when appropriate
Financial accuracy & compliance:
Detect and resolve discrepancies
Ensure transactions are properly categorized in QuickBooks
Support regular financial reporting and audits
Team collaboration:
Work directly with our current in-house bookkeeper
Assist in process improvements and ongoing financial tracking
Must-Have Qualifications:
5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
Advanced QuickBooks proficiency (Online and/or Desktop)
Strong reconciliation and troubleshooting skills
High attention to detail and ability to catch small errors
Strong communication and follow-up skills (especially with vendors)
Familiarity with title insurance operations is a plus, but not required
Working Conditions:
Flexible hours (must overlap with Eastern Time business hours)
Remote work
Hourly pay, based on experience
