Physician Assistant, Urology
                                *Summary*
• As an Advanced Practice Provider, you will be integral to delivering high-quality patient care and developing effective care plans. Reporting to the supervising physician, you will utilize your core skills in patient assessment, medical terminology, and basic life support to ensure optimal health outcomes. Your premium skills in critical care and experience with EHR systems will enhance our clinical operations. Conducts comprehensive physical examinations, evaluates patients' medical histories, assesses overall health status, orders and interprets diagnostic tests, prescribes medications, and provides treatment for various health conditions.

• Collaborates with physicians as necessary.
• Revises patient care plans through ongoing review and monitoring of treatment and therapy modalities.
• Administers or orders laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic tests essential for medical management, while also providing patients with clear explanations regarding the necessity, preparation, and expected outcomes of treatments and diagnostic procedures.
• Triages patient inquiries and assesses patient concerns effectively.
• Provides counseling and education to patients and their families on preventive healthcare strategies tailored to individual needs.
• Records patient information and care activities in medical records and may maintain departmental statistical databases for research and quality improvement purposes.
• Prescribes, recommends, and regulates appropriate pharmacological treatments and medications.

• Qualifications:*
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in physician assistant studies required and will be verified prior to employment.
• Certification required as a Physician Assistant granted by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and will be verified prior to employment.
• Acute care certification is required and will be verified prior to employment.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and CPR certifications required and will be verified prior to employment.
• Licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of employment required and will be verified prior to employment.
• Valid DEA drug license and controlled substance license in the state of employment required and will be verified prior to employment.
• Urology or surgical experience preferred but not required.

• Maintain & adhere to HIPAA compliance/ regulations.
• Knowledge of medical models and familiarity with anatomy, pharmacology, pathophysiology, clinical medicine, and physical diagnosis.
• Knowledge of patient assessment techniques, including taking medical histories, performing physicals, evaluating health status, including wellness, and compliance with care recommendations.
• Skill gathering and analyzing physiological, socioeconomic, and emotional patient data.
