Manager-Risk Reporting & Analytics (NYC, Sunrise, or PHX Hybrid)
About the position
Responsibilities
• Lead the collection, analysis, and synthesis of operational risk data to identify emerging trends, key risk indicators (KRIs), and risk appetite breaches.
• Collaborate with Governance forums (e.g., Operational Risk Committees) to present insights and escalate material risks, supporting data-informed discussions.
• Track issues with KRI limits and risk appetite for Global Servicing to ensure operational risks are managed within agreed thresholds and leverage these metrics to help detect concerning rises in emerging problems.
• Provide support to develop the operational risk framework to enable effective risk management and decision making in the BU.
• Design and execute analytical models to evaluate the impact of operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Partner with stakeholders to improve data quality, accuracy, and consistency across risk data.
• Share best practices and thematic insights across the enterprise to strengthen risk awareness and performance tracking.
• Manage details of specific risk and controls governance forums for Global Servicing, interfacing with org-wide governance processes and committees.
• Facilitate the understanding and use of the risk governance framework across BUs through regular communication.
Requirements
• 3+ Years experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function).
• Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities.
• Experience in process governance, with an understanding of processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets to perform analysis and build reports.
• Demonstrated experience with data analytics, visualization, and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with the ability to translate data into compelling insights.
• Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-haves
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, Data Analytics, or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous.
• Experience in at least one of the following: Translating operational risk strategy and appetite into execution guidelines, Tracking and identifying issues with Key Risk Indicator (KRI) limits and risk appetite, Oversee the implementation of the operational risk governance frameworks, Communicating and ensuring understanding and adherence to operational risk procedures and standards.
• Experience in financial services industry.
