Cashier/Customer Service/Sales Associate

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and friendly Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth checkout experience for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, have experience in retail sales, and be comfortable handling cash transactions. Duties • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently and accurately to process transactions • Provide outstanding customer service by assisting customers with inquiries and resolving issues • Perform cashiering duties including cash handling, processing payments, and managing the cash register • Engage in upselling and product demonstrations to enhance customer experience and drive sales • Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring all merchandise is properly stocked and displayed • Assist with merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively to encourage purchases • Supervise junior staff when necessary, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales • Utilize basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations • Communicate effectively with customers, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries Qualifications • Previous experience in a retail environment preferred, particularly in grocery stores • Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply as it enhances customer interaction • Experience in supervising staff or leading teams is a plus • Ability to perform product demos and upsell items effectively • Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and retail calculations • A positive attitude with a focus on delivering excellent customer service Join our team as a Customer Service Associate / Cashier where you can make a difference in our customers' shopping experience while developing your skills in a dynamic retail environment!
