What You’ll Teach
Instructors may specialize in one or more of the following areas:
Standardized Test Prep
• SAT, ACT
Advanced Placement (AP®) Courses
• Chemistry, Biology, Statistics, Calculus, Precalculus, Physics, English Language & Literature, English Literature & Composition, Music Theory, and more
International Baccalaureate (IB®) Courses
• French, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics (SL/HL), English (SL/HL), Theory of Knowledge (TOK), Extended Essay (EE), and other IB subjects
Responsibilities
• Deliver engaging, student-focused lessons in a one-on-one or small-group setting.
• Use StevensED-provided instructional resources and licensed platforms
• Follow StevensED’s teaching framework and participate in required trainings
• Prepare lesson plans, assignments, and review materials
• Track student progress and communicate effectively with students and parents
• Maintain professionalism and uphold StevensED’s institutional values
Qualifications
Required:
• High school diploma or equivalent (candidates without will not be considered)
• Demonstrated mastery of one or more subjects listed above
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Reliable, professional, and committed to student success
Preferred:
• Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in a related field
• Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience
• Familiarity with AP®, IB®, SAT, and ACT frameworks
Scheduling & Pay
• Flexible, part-time position with hybrid and remote opportunities
• Expected Hours: 2–15 hours per week (based on student enrollment and your availability)
• No guaranteed minimum hours
