Assoc Dir -Sales
About the position
Responsibilities
• Build, develop, and lead a team of high-performing sales professionals.
• Motivate and empower the sales team to deliver outstanding customer service and solutions.
• Drive the sales performance of the team through ongoing mentorship and development.
• Develop and implement strategies to acquire new business in the Public Sector/SLED space.
• Track and report key financial, budget, and sales metrics.
• Work closely with broader Verizon sales teams to strategize on accounts.
• Act as an expert on offerings and competition in the market.
• Identify and coordinate efforts in responding to RFPs and government contracting processes.
• Partner with the Government CS Leadership Team to align on customer needs.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six or more years of relevant work experience in sales.
• Valid driver's license and eligibility to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.
• Willingness to travel.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience bidding, selling to, and contracting with government agencies.
• Experience in selling complex technical solutions and systems integration.
• A record of meeting or exceeding challenging sales targets.
• Experience leading a high-performing sales team in a commissions-based environment.
• Demonstrated ability to craft compelling sales proposals and business cases.
• Previous experience selling telematics.
