Healthcare Construction Plan Reviewer - 2 positions If selected for engagement, your candidate's hourly Pay Rate must be between $32.00 and $55.00, depending on level of experience (1-2 yrs. exp. $32.00-$45.00 or 3-6 yrs. $45.00-$55.00). The Healthcare Construction Plan Reviewer is responsible for evaluating electronic construction drawings and specifications for healthcare facilities to ensure compliance with the Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) standards and NFPA 101: Life Safety Code. This role plays a critical part in safeguarding patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency in healthcare environments. Key Responsibilities • Review architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings for new construction, renovations, and expansions of healthcare facilities. • Ensure all plans comply with FGI Guidelines for the Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities. • Verify adherence to NFPA 101 requirements, focusing on life safety, egress, fire protection, and occupancy classifications. • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to resolve code discrepancies. • Prepare detailed written reports outlining deficiencies, required corrections, and final approvals. • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulatory changes. Required/Desired Skills Skill Required /Desired Amount of Experience Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Required 0 Experience in healthcare facility plan review or code compliance. Required 1 Years Proficiency in electronic plan review software (e.g., Revit Autodesk). Required 1 Years In-depth knowledge of FGI Guidelines for the Design and Construction of Health Care Facilities Required 1 Years In-depth knowledge of NFPA 101 Required 1 Years Familiarity with ASHRAE requirements (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers) Required 1 Years Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
