Online Chat Support Agent
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a compassionate and service-oriented Online Chat Support Agent to provide real-time assistance to website visitors, donors, and prospective volunteers. You will be the first point of contact for many people engaging with our mission, and your role will be vital in ensuring a positive, informative, and welcoming experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries via live chat on the Horizon House Peru website
• Provide information about our programs, donation options, volunteer opportunities, and events
• Assist users experiencing technical difficulties or needing guidance through forms or online processes
• Escalate complex queries to the appropriate team members when necessary
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of interactions using our internal CRM system
• Support donor engagement by providing updates, confirmations, and answering follow-up questions
• Collaborate with the communications and development teams to ensure consistent messaging
Requirements
• Previous experience in customer service or online support, preferably in a nonprofit or service-based organization
• Excellent written communication skills and a friendly, empathetic tone
• Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient with chat software, CRM tools, and basic website navigation
• Passion for humanitarian work and alignment with Horizon House Peru’s mission
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus
