Job Summary:To provide therapeutic modes of respiratory treatments to all patients. In addition to duties of a certified respiratory therapist, may perform advanced diagnostic testing, patient assessment, and intervention. Serves as a preceptor for other therapists. • This position is a 6 month freelance, seasonal contract. Please see requirements* Qualifications SEASONAL CONTRACT REQUIREMENTS: • Term agreement: 6 months, can be renewed for additional 6 months • Full time requirements: 36 hours/week, 72 hours/pay period • Day shift 0630-1900 • Night shift 1830-0700 RRT Requirements • A minimum of an associate degree from a respiratory therapy education program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care unless licensure was obtained prior to November 11, 2009 • One year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting preferred • Licensed as a RRT by the Texas Medical Board and registered by NBRC • AHA or ARC BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider card showing completion of cognitive and skills evaluation in accordance with the curriculum of AHA BLS (CPR & AED) program • Must receive ACLS, PALS, and NRP within 90 days of employment EEO Statement All UHS subsidiaries are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates.
