Role and Responsibilities
• Offer attentive and courteous service by greeting customers and providing assistance with their shopping needs.
• Use the cash register and scanner to ring up purchases, process payments, and provide accurate change.
• Bag items and help customers carry their purchases when necessary.
• Receive deliveries, stock shelves, and rotate inventory according to company procedures.
• Assemble and maintain product displays in alignment with visual merchandising plans (planograms).
• Maintain a clean and organized store environment by performing tasks such as trash disposal, mopping, dusting, and upkeep of restrooms and stock areas.
• Set up and maintain promotional displays outside the store as directed.
Required Skills and Experience
• Effective oral communication and strong people skills.
• Awareness of basic store safety procedures and policies.
• Ability to follow planograms and execute merchandising instructions.
• Basic math skills and knowledge of cash handling practices.
• Capable of performing register operations and managing inventory restocking tasks.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous retail or customer service experience is beneficial.
• Able to work efficiently in a moderately noisy, fast-paced setting.
• Comfortable performing physical duties such as frequent walking, bending, and lifting items up to 40 pounds (occasionally up to 55 pounds).
• Experience using in-store tools like handheld scanners, pricing guns, and step ladders (up to six feet).
