Finance Controller
Work Hours: Depends on company, but most companies want at least 2 hours of overlap with U.S. time zones

Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the company’s accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting.
 - Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and reports, adhering to accounting standards and company policies.
 - Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring comprehensive and accurate financial reporting.
 - Develop, implement, and maintain robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and safeguard company assets.
 - Oversee tax planning and compliance, ensuring accurate and timely filing of all tax returns.
 - Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and standards.
 - Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
 - Collaborate with other departments to support business operations, strategic planning, and decision-making.
 - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline accounting processes and improve overall financial performance.
 - Prepare and present financial analysis, reports, and strategic recommendations to senior management and the board of directors.
 
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
 - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership roles within accounting, with a background in a large accounting firm preferred.
 - Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulatory requirements.
 - Proven experience in financial planning, budgeting, and analysis.
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
 - Experience with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, NetSuite, Intacct, etc).
 - Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
 - Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
 - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
