Technical Support Engineer

IDEMIA National Security Solutions (NSS) is seeking an experienced individual with diverse experience in IT to act as a Technical Support Engineer to assist our IT support team at customer locations. This role will require up to 75% travel to DoD Installations in support of NSS equipment installations and maintenance while interacting with key stakeholders and access a secure network to troubleshoot as required.

Requirements

  • General Linux experience
  • Ability to obtain an active Secret Security Clearance
  • Common Access Card holder
  • Ability to access a U.S. DoD installation with Common Access Card
  • Knowledge of DoD base access
  • Ability to travel to designated locations for installation access
  • Fluent in English, additional regional languages a plus
  • High-level network understanding
  • Linux application support
  • Docker experience
  • Desired bash scripting
  • System log analysis
  • Windows administration
  • Powershell
  • PostgreSQL experience
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Ashore Enclave (EAE), formally PSNET and Marine Corps Enterprise Network (MCEN)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field is desired
  • Customer focused mindset
  • Must possess strong problem-solving skills and proven ability to communicate issues and solutions in simplified manner.
  • Must be proactive to identify and anticipate client (end user customers/system integrators) needs and make recommendations for implementation.
  • Must have experience in working collaboratively with business partners to effectively resolve problems.

  • Must possess demonstrated verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent listening skills
  • Must be available and willing to travel up to 75%
  • Must be able to bring discipline to drive results and follow established fundamental goals and objectives
  • Must have ability to submit accurate and timely reports as needed
