About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy team. As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients, answering their questions, and resolving their concerns in a timely and professional manner. You will be responsible for handling a high volume of complex customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, and will work closely with our internal teams to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, answering their questions and resolving their concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Handle a high volume of complex customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat, and work closely with internal teams to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
  • Coordinate and handle new patient requests and reorders, including verifying and renewing benefits, and assisting patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system.
  • Convey and collect copay sums, acquire approvals, and work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and approve orders that have records of sales or clinical issues.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that patient needs are met and that financial and clinical expectations are being met prior to fulfillment.

Requirements:

  • Dynamic IL Pharmacy Technician License or willingness to apply for an IL Pharmacy Technician License.
  • One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone.
  • One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications.
  • One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and fitness.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology.
