Job Overview
As a Behavioral Technician with Key Autism Services, you will play a vital role in implementing ABA therapy and counseling programs for children with autism. Our Accelerated Program is designed to support your growth and development in the field, with paid training and opportunities for advancement. You will work under the guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to provide one-on-one (1:1) in-home ABA therapy, collect data, and implement behavior support and treatment plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 in-home Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy to children with autism
 - Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
 - Conduct discrete trials, implement behavior support, and treatment plans
 - Work collaboratively with a BCBA Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
 - Be responsive to the needs and requests of clients, their families, and supervisors
 - Maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work and arrive on time for therapy sessions
 
Requirements & Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or working towards your degree in a related field (Psychology, Education, or Sociology)
 - 1 year of experience working with children in a 1:1 setting
 - 1 year of ABA experience or 1-2 years of experience as a Special Education Assistant, Paraprofessional, Direct Support Professional, Medical Assistant, Autism Experience, Teacher's Assistant, or ABA Tutor in a school or home setting
 - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
 - Reliable vehicle and personal means of transportation
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
 - Experience using a Cognitive Behavior Intervention Plan with youth and families
 
Skills & Competencies
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion when working with clients and their families
 - Strong communication and interpersonal skills
 - Ability to work independently and as part of a team
 - Flexibility to work varying schedules, including morning, afternoon, and evening shifts
 - Physical ability to lift up to 35lbs, bend, kneel, squat, and respond quickly to the movements and behaviors of children
