Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Psychology Teacher to teach throughout the school, refining content on our virtual learning platform. As a Psychology Teacher with us, you will be responsible for:
- Teaching Psychology to students aged 11-18
 - Creating and delivering high-quality lesson plans and resources
 - Assessing student progress and providing feedback
 - Supporting students with SEND and mental health difficulties
 - Collaborating with colleagues to develop and improve our curriculum
 
Key Responsibilities
As a Psychology Teacher with Minerva's Virtual Academy, your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering high-quality lessons that engage and motivate students
 - Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback
 - Developing and implementing effective teaching strategies and techniques
 - Supporting students with SEND and mental health difficulties
 - Collaborating with colleagues to develop and improve our curriculum
 - Participating in staff meetings and contributing to the overall development of the school
 
Essential Qualifications and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Qualified teacher status
 - Experience teaching the secondary age range
 - Experience teaching groups of students
 - A strong desire to ensure all students succeed, and an understanding of strategies to support those with SEND and mental health difficulties in the virtual classroom
 - Knowledge and experience of a range of teaching approaches and techniques, including those focused on maximising the potential of the online environment
 - Strong diagnostic ability and a passion to guide students in their learning
 - A strong understanding of the assessment requirements, and of the principles of assessment for learning
 - The ability to engage students from varied backgrounds
 - A belief in the value of learning from home, and of flipped learning
 - Enthusiasm for and competence in making the most of technology in education
 - Experience in collating and creating resources for online learning
 
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
We would especially like to hear from anyone with:
- Experience teaching AQA IGCSE and A-level
 - Proven experience of making innovative use of technology to stimulate engagement and facilitate best outcomes in online teaching and learning
 - Experience creating highly engaging learning content for online delivery

Compensation and Benefits
