About the Role: Service Advocate - Ops - Work from Home

We're seeking an experienced Service Advocate to join our Solid Results Team, working from the comfort of your own home. As a Service Advocate, you'll play a critical role in engaging with members via multiple channels (digital, phone) and leading outreach efforts to our government healthcare members. Your goal will be to empower members to make informed decisions about their health and healthcare, improving their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on various departmental projects, including inbound and outbound calls to members who may benefit from assigned services, such as healthcare visits/screenings, vaccinations, or medication refills.
  • Effectively capture barriers and collect data, utilizing persuasive speaking skills to provide solutions and close gaps in care.
  • Ensure that every member is treated professionally, with respect, and that all questions are fully answered or triaged and addressed.
  • Act as a liaison and help coordinate care between health plans, providers, and pharmacies.
  • Proactively listen and gather member-reported data elements in the CRM tool to support clinical record research for HEDIS clinical record documentation of services.
  • Provide members with timely and relevant information to help them make better decisions about their health and healthcare.
  • Engage, counsel, and educate members based on their unique needs, preferences, and understanding of services.
  • Take ownership for member insight and offer exceptional support, responding to questions and resolving issues as a "single point of contact."
  • Build trusting relationships with members by taking responsibility to understand their needs fully.
  • Utilize professional communication skills to build relationships with both internal and external members/constituents.
  • Leverage relevant system tools and resources to deliver quality business communications.
  • Handle multiple functions and products while maintaining and exceeding performance standards.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Recent and related experience working with HEDIS screening measures and behavior change.
  • Related experience working directly with members/consumers, preferably in a call center setting.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent and related experience within healthcare, healthcare marketing, outreach, or health education, health coaching, and disease management experience.
  • 2-4 years of experience in a healthcare setting with direct communication with various levels of management, including clinical providers.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bilingual or multilingual candidates highly preferred.
  • Clinical certification (e.g., certified nursing assistant, medical assistant) is strongly suggested but not required.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Windows-based application knowledge with the ability to use standard corporate software packages and corporate applications.
  • Effective communication skills and experience interacting with clinical providers and clinical staff.
  • Strong listening and interpersonal skills; skilled at developing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills focusing on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to de-escalate situations and empathize with members.
  • Ability to apply creative thinking skills when needed to resolve member concerns.
  • Capacity to thrive in a changing environment, adapting to various priorities in short periods.
  • Ability to work independently, apply critical thinking skills when needed, and demonstrate professionalism in all interactions.
