Key Responsibilities

  • Delivery and Implementation (50%):
    • Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications with a clear understanding of the value they deliver.
    • Accept new opportunities and challenging projects with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
    • Create comprehensive test suites (functional, destructive, etc.) to enable successful and rapid deployment of code to production.
    • Approach problems with a broad perspective, using a global lens to drive decision-making.
  • Learn and Grow (20%):
    • Learn through successful and unsuccessful experiments in solving new problems.
    • Actively seek ways to grow and be challenged through formal and informal development channels.
  • Planning and Alignment (20%):
    • Collaborate with team members on Agile processes to create new and better ways for organizations to succeed.
    • Work with the product team to ensure user stories are valuable, developer-ready, easy to understand, and testable.
    • Provide multi-modal communication that conveys a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
    • Adapt attitude and behavior in real-time to the changing needs of different situations.
  • Support and Enablement (10%):
    • Help junior engineers grow by providing advice on modern software development frameworks and leading technical discussions.

Essential and Preferred Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • To be over eighteen years of age.
  • To be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in software development.
  • Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
  • Proficiency in object-oriented programming languages, with Java being preferred.
  • Knowledge of relational or NoSQL database technology.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing techniques, CI/CD tools, and modern software design patterns.
  • Experience with retail/POS systems, security frameworks for authorization and authentication, and version control systems.
  • Background in creating and executing unit, functional, damage, and performance tests.
  • Understanding of modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques.
