Job Summary
We are seeking part-time online faculty members to teach in our MSW program, specifically in the areas of non-Western practice, research, and statistics. As an online faculty member, you will be responsible for teaching online courses, providing regular feedback to students, and engaging in asynchronous threaded discussions. You will have the opportunity to share your professional experience and industry perspective with students, promoting student success and scholarly excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach online courses in the MSW program, including MSW504 - Human Behavior in the Social Environment I, MSW505 - Direct Practice I (Individuals and Families), MSW506 - Policy I: Social Welfare and Social Policy, and MSW507 - Research Methods & Applications
- Provide regular, meaningful feedback to students on their academic performance, development, and participation
- Engage students in asynchronous threaded discussions, moderating participation, evaluating responses and rationales, and responding to questions or comments
- Evaluate academic progress and comprehension of course content through assigning and grading quizzes, exams, and writing assignments
- Exhibit care and respect for students, creating a culture that fosters collaboration, cooperation, and respect among all
- Be readily available to meet the needs of a diverse student body, responding quickly to requests for help
- Bring professional experience to life through professional development, introducing industry perspective into courses and sharing information about social work trends and opportunities with students
- Foster a positive learning environment by maintaining accurate records, submitting grades on time, and enforcing academic policies
- Use course-related software and technology effectively, including websites, email, and online discussions
Qualifications
Essential Qualifications
- A doctorate (Ph.D. or DSW) in Social Work or a very closely related field
- A CSWE-accredited MSW degree
- A minimum of 3 years of college-level teaching experience
- Current or very recent professional experience in the field of instruction
- Exceptional subject matter expertise and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine passion for education and lifelong learning

Compensation and Benefits
The expected compensation rate for this position is between $850/Earned Credit Hour to $1,950/Earned Credit Hour, depending on the candidate's education and experience. We offer a range of benefits, including:
