The University of Denver's Department of Psychology is seeking an experienced Part-Time Visiting Teaching Assistant Professor to join our team. As a VTAP, you will have the opportunity to teach a variety of courses, mentor students, and contribute to our department's mission of advancing psychological science and promoting inclusive excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Teach eight courses distributed among fall, winter, and spring quarters, including graduate-level courses in correlation and regression, and undergraduate courses in statistics, introduction to psychology, and lifespan development
 - Hold office hours and regularly communicate with students
 - Prepare for courses and use computer-assisted course management and presentation methods
 - Teach using universal design and inclusive teaching principles
 - Communicate effectively with undergraduates and contribute to departmental goals
 
Essential Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field (or A.B.D. in an appropriate Ph.D. program)
 - Experience teaching psychology courses with available teaching evaluations
 - Ability to communicate effectively with undergraduates
 - Experience with universal design and inclusive teaching principles
 - Ability to use computer-assisted course management and presentation methods
 
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ph.D. with previous experience in instruction, advising, and faculty-level participation in a department of psychology in an accredited university
 - Experience in curriculum and course development, innovative pedagogy, and contributions to inclusive excellence
 
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent teaching and communication skills
 - Ability to work with diverse populations and promote inclusive excellence
 - Strong organizational and time management skills
 - Ability to use technology to support teaching and course management
