About Us

Soccer Shots is more than just a soccer program; it's an engaging experience designed for children aged 2-10. Our curriculum is carefully crafted to promote not only soccer skills but also essential life skills such as empathy, self-confidence, and teamwork. By partnering with preschools, daycare centers, and community centers, we reach a diverse group of young athletes, providing them with a supportive and fun environment to grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities

• Coach and manage Soccer Shots sessions on Saturdays, ensuring an engaging and safe experience for all participants.
• Deliver our proprietary Soccer Shots curriculum, focusing on both skill development and character building.
• Provide a positive and welcoming experience for children, parents, and center staff, embodying the values of Soccer Shots.
• Arrive prepared and on time for sessions, managing equipment and class rosters effectively.
• Participate in paid training sessions (online and on-field) and coaching evaluations to continually improve your coaching skills.
• Commit to a season-long engagement of 9-12 weeks, demonstrating reliability and dedication to the program and its participants.

Qualifications and Skills

Essential Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent; bonus points for 12 accredited ECE units in Early Childhood Development.
• Ability to pass a Live Scan background check (FBI & DOJ clearance).
• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to various coaching locations.
• A personal mobile phone with data for communication and administrative tasks.
• Professionalism, punctuality, and a courteous demeanor.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in soccer coaching or playing.
• Background in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Experience working with children in a structured program setting.

Skills and Competencies

• Creativity and enthusiasm in working with children.
• Patience and empathy in managing diverse behaviors and learning curves.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with children, parents, and staff.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team.

What We Offer

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package for our coaches, with a pay rate of $18 per session during the training period and $20+ per session thereafter. Our part-time coaching positions are available on Saturdays, with sessions ranging from 9 am to 1 pm. While this is primarily a weekend role, there are also opportunities for Monday to Saturday positions for the right candidates.
