About the Role
As a Quantitative Analyst at Bank of America, you'll play a critical role in developing and implementing quantitative strategies and financial products for our global institutional clients. You'll work closely with our trading and sales teams to meet liquidity and trading limits, and collaborate with clients to understand their needs and design tailored solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantitative strategies and techniques in Product and FX markets for global institutional clients
- Conduct thorough and innovative analysis, and generate groundbreaking ideas from numerical, statistical, financial, and economic concepts
- Develop a framework to test ideas using computer code, statistical models, and perform end-to-end development, including alpha idea generation, data processing, strategy backtesting, optimization, and execution
- Create research for clients to demonstrate evidence of risk premium, and present research to a wide audience, marketing with clients through in-person meetings or calls to understand their needs and design specific products
- Develop and enhance the code base for the development, computation, and maintenance of strategy products, approximately 2,000 products currently
- Work closely with Merchants and Sales to meet Liquidity/Trading limits as needed
- Design financial products/strategies on derivatives, such as futures and options in Commodities or FX asset classes
- Data engineering to develop and streamline data processes that are critical to all stages of systematic strategy development via data collection of both structured and unstructured data, descriptive data analysis, signal processing, and data visualization
- Local and parallel programming in Python or C# to perform object-oriented coding and system design
- Work on in-depth data science research projects using advanced statistical techniques, such as Machine Learning and time series prediction
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computational Finance, Financial Engineering, Machine Learning, Quantitative Finance, or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a quantitative role, or a related field
- 2 years of experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Designing financial products/strategies on derivatives, such as futures and options in Commodities or FX asset classes
- Data engineering to develop and streamline data processes that are critical to all stages of systematic strategy development
- Local and parallel programming in Python or C# to perform object-oriented coding and system design
- Working on in-depth data science research projects using advanced statistical techniques, such as Machine Learning and time series prediction
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications can enhance your candidacy:
- Advanced degree in a quantitative field, such as a Master's or Ph.D.
- Experience working in a financial institution or a related industry
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, C++, or Java
- Experience with data science tools and technologies, such as pandas, NumPy, or scikit-learn
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
