Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Associate to join our team at Walgreens. Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Associate at Walgreens, you will be responsible for:
  • Providing respectful, fair, and productive checkout services to customers, including registering sales on assigned sales register, collecting cash and dispensing change as needed, and processing voids, returns, and exchanges.
  • Modeling and promoting our customer service best practices, including greeting customers, offering assistance, and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assisting customers with product recommendations, including suggesting upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and promoting our loyalty programs and services.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves, checking in and pricing stock, and performing other tasks as assigned.
  • Developing and maintaining displays, including special, seasonal, and promotional displays, and resetting and updating displays as directed.
  • Providing customer assistance in the photo area, including digital ID photo services, banner printing, and promoting special photo products.
  • Assisting with online order fulfillment, including screening orders in Picture Care and handling requests (picking items) and delivering orders to customers as they arrive at the store.
  • Supporting external and internal store operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment, and promoting a positive and respectful work environment.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • A strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, with a focus on resolving customer issues and promoting our products and services.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekend hours, and to adapt to changing store conditions and priorities.
  • Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system.
  • Working knowledge of store systems and equipment, including cash registers, scanners, and other technology.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are preferred:
  • Previous experience in a retail environment, with a focus on customer service and sales.
  • Previous experience working with Walgreens, with a strong understanding of our products, services, and policies.
  • Fluency in multiple languages, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
  • Basic computer skills, with the ability to navigate our store systems and equipment.
