Position Overview: Idaho Fully Remote Special Education Teacher
As a Special Education Teacher with our organization, you'll play a critical role in providing personalized instruction to students with special needs, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with a team of educators and families to ensure the academic success and well-being of each student. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home in Idaho.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide remote, individualized instruction to students with diverse learning needs, using a range of digital tools and platforms to support student engagement and learning.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with students, families, and other educators, ensuring that each student's unique needs are met.
- Conduct regular assessments to track student progress, adjust instructional strategies as needed, and maintain accurate records of student performance.
- Maintain regular communication with students, families, and the school administration, providing updates on student progress and involving families in the educational process.
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and refine educational plans that address the complex needs of students with special needs.
- Promote positive behaviors and foster a supportive learning environment for all students, using evidence-based strategies to address behavioral challenges and promote social-emotional learning.
- Stay up to date with best practices in special education and remote teaching strategies, participating in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Essential Qualifications
- Master's degree in Special Education or a related field: A graduate degree in Special Education or a related field is preferred, demonstrating your advanced knowledge and skills in special education.
- Valid Special Education teaching certification: A valid Special Education teaching certification in Idaho is preferred, although we welcome applications from candidates with certifications from other states.
- Experience working with students with disabilities: You should have experience working with students with diverse learning needs, including learning, behavioral, and developmental challenges.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation: You should have a strong understanding of the IEP process, including developing and implementing IEPs that address the unique needs of students with special needs.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills: You should have excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records, communicate effectively with families and colleagues, and manage your time effectively in a remote work environment.

- Experience with virtual learning platforms and educational technology: You should be proficient in the use of virtual learning platforms and educational technology, with experience using digital tools to support student engagement and learning.
