About the Role of Math Instructor

Key Responsibilities

• Instruct small groups of students in math core skills, focusing on long-term understanding and top scores in college readiness exams (ACT & SAT)
• Track student progress and provide individualized feedback and support to ensure each student reaches their full potential

• Mentor middle and high school students with empathy and understanding, recognizing the increasing competitiveness and stress of the college application process

Essential Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, education, or a related STEM field (Master's or higher preferred; open to entry-level candidates)
• Teaching experience in math and/or experience working in a college-level tutoring center (1+ years)
• GPA of 3.5 or higher
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites
• Access to a reliable internet connection and a workspace with minimal noise/distraction

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching at the college or community college level
• Robust understanding of classroom pedagogy and the ability to create customized, engaging lesson plans
