About the Role: Substitute Teacher

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Substitute Teacher to join our team in Colts Neck, NJ. As a Substitute Teacher with Scoot Education, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on teaching experience on your own schedule, working with students of various ages and backgrounds. Key Responsibilities:

• Teach a variety of subjects, including math, science, English, and social studies, to students in elementary, middle, and high school settings
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, adapting to the needs of each classroom and student
• Manage classroom behavior, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and school administrators, providing feedback and support as needed
• Collaborate with other educators to develop and implement curriculum, sharing best practices and expertise
• Participate in professional development opportunities, staying up-to-date on the latest teaching methods and technologies

Essential Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• An Associate or Bachelor's degree, or 60+ college credits
• Three professional references, including one from a previous direct supervisor
• A NJ Substitute Credential
• A background check and TB risk assessment (we'll cover the cost of this!)
• Full COVID-19 vaccination
• A passion for education and putting students first
