Job Summary

As a Lead Data Management Analyst at Blithequark, you will be responsible for leading the data management function within the Business Banking Operations (CBO) team. Your primary objective will be to ensure that data is accurate, complete, and consistent across the organization, and that data management processes are aligned with business requirements and regulatory expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Business Banking Operations (CBO) teams and management to provide expert advice on data management and analytics.
  • Coordinate data testing by controllers, Business Bank Data, Audit, Independent Testing and Validation (ITV), Enterprise Data Management, and others.
  • Work with Business Bank Data and Product teams to identify root causes of data issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
  • Lead remediation efforts with CBO teams to address regulatory and audit issues, as well as corrective actions related to data.
  • Provide oversight and management of all regulatory data, reports, and processes submitted within CBO.
  • Ensure effective implementation of the Data Risk and Controls framework in association with Business Bank Data, CBO Compliance, Risk Management, and Regulatory Reporting.
  • Collaborate with CFO and Credit Risk teams to understand their data requirements and proactively identify opportunities to meet their needs.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with partners across Business Bank, CIB, Credit Risk, Regulators, Business Controls, Data Management, and Technology.
  • Develop a data strategy for CBO and integrate it into ongoing process and technology improvement programs.
  • Provide guidance on Data Controls framework implementation to ensure adherence to Data Management policies and procedures.
  • Champion CBO's interests by closely monitoring and participating in the ongoing development of Enterprise Data Management solutions and tools.

Requirements and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration).
  • 5+ years of experience in Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or a related field, demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, and education.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Wholesale Lending or Credit Risk.
  • 5+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry.
  • Strong understanding of risk management frameworks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as program and process management abilities.
  • Leadership presence and ability to communicate complex data management concepts to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence and persuade cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
  • Prior experience with regulatory reporting (e.g., FRY14).
