We're now seeking an experienced Database Engineer to join our Information Curation group, playing a critical role in shaping the future of autonomous driving.

About the Role

As a Database Engineer in our Information Curation group, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing datasets that fuel our brain organizations, enabling us to tackle complex Full-Self-Driving (FSD) challenges. Your work will have a significant impact on blithequark's progress toward a self-driving future, as high-quality data is the foundation of successful AI development.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble large, clean, diverse, and balanced datasets to improve various self-driving tasks
• Design strategies to gather data from engineering resources and the customer fleet
• Create training materials to instruct Data Collection teams on how to capture specific data
• Train up to hundreds of staff on the techniques/methods you've designed
• Develop examining and filtering techniques to verify data quality
• Coordinate development and testing of assessments to validate improvements to the task you're handling
• Maintain tight feedback loops with Data Collection, AI Engineering, and Test teams to ensure new datasets effectively improve Self-Driving
• Write data queries to mine data from the fleet (Python, JSON-C) and analyze telemetry to measure performance and progress of improving various self-driving undertakings
• Conduct in-vehicle testing to support engineering development
• Generate reports that convey top issues, release blockers, progress, and next stages for various projects

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Math, or evidence of exceptional skills in a related field
• Experience with Python, Pandas, NumPy, SQL, Git, Grafana, and ElasticSearch
• A strong understanding of AI and self-driving fundamentals
• Excellent work ethic, communication, attention to detail, and collaboration skills
• The ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment with high uncertainty; self-starter mindset

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following skills and experience will be a plus:

• Experience working with large datasets and data curation
• Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning concepts
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and infrastructure
• Experience with Agile development methodologies
