About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Billing Customer Experience Team Lead to join our team. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for providing exceptional leadership and guidance to our medical billing team, ensuring that we deliver outstanding customer experiences and achieve our revenue cycle management goals. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of medical billing specialists, providing coaching, training, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
 - Oversee the execution of end-to-end revenue cycle management processes, including pre-registration, authorization, denial management, and patient financial counseling.
 - Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues related to medical billing and revenue cycle management, ensuring that we provide seamless and efficient services to our clients.
 - Serve as a point of contact for internal and external customer inquiries, responding to questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
 - Analyze data and reports to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing process improvements and efficiencies to optimize revenue cycle management outcomes.
 - Develop and maintain relationships with insurance companies, patients, and other stakeholders, ensuring that we provide exceptional customer service and build strong partnerships.
 
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in denial management, AR collection, pre-registration, and authorization for US healthcare processes.
 - Experience with EPIC software is preferred, as well as knowledge of denial management, pre-registration, authorization, and patient financial counseling.
 - Strong understanding of common healthcare industry terminology, practices, and procedures regarding billing and reimbursement.
 - Knowledge of how government and commercial payers reimburse, as well as experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance companies.
 - Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, insurance representatives, and internal stakeholders.
 - Proficiency in using a Windows-based computer system and common business software found in Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
 - Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on customer service and patient satisfaction.
 - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and establish and meet deadlines.
 - Typing/data entry skills at a minimum of 40 wpm.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role, with a proven track record of success in managing and developing high-performing teams.
 - Certifications in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management, such as CPC, CPB, or CRCE.
 - Experience with other healthcare software systems, such as Cerner or Meditech.
 - Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards, such as HIPAA and OIG.
