Key Responsibilities

As a Physician Assistant at Blithequark, you will:

  • Provide primary and family care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions, health counseling, and behavior planning for our patients
  • Assume administrative responsibilities, such as opening/closing the facility, managing inventory, patient flow, and monitoring insurance and payment collection
  • Be responsible for managing patient appointments and performing routing assessments to ensure positive patient health outcomes
  • Perform duties, including counseling patients on healthy lifestyle choices, conducting diagnostic tests to help diagnose and treat patients for injuries or illnesses, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to maintain comprehensive care
  • Encourage patients to become active participants in their healthcare and wellness through services like health screenings, social determinants of health, and chronic condition management

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care, including accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions, health counseling, and behavior planning for our patients
  • Order and administer vaccinations and injections (including COVID-19, flu, TB, and Depo) and provide evidence-based patient/parent vaccine guidance and education
  • At least two years of medically relevant experience or equivalent
  • Complete the SPCC certification exam within 30 days of employment
  • Proficiency in both speaking and writing in additional languages (not limited to Spanish), depending on the market
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including mouth-to-mouth resuscitation and operation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
  • Pass a FIT assessment and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol requires

Preferred Qualifications:

  • If you have less than one year of work experience as a licensed provider, prior student precepting experience with MinuteClinic is preferred but not required

Education and Certification

We require:

  • A graduate degree-level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role
  • Or, in select states, a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related graduate degree or equivalent experience along with a four-year education in science in Physician Associate Studies) with current National Board Certification and State of Practice license to practice in the role
