About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Healthcare Customer Advisor – Special Needs Support to join our Family Engagement Center team. As a full-time remote employee, you'll provide holistic support to members with special needs and their families, serving as a trusted advisor and advocate. You'll work closely with our members to resolve complex issues, provide guidance, and connect them with community resources. Your goal will be to deliver an extraordinary experience, building trust and creating a positive impact on their lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide end-to-end resolution of issues for members with special needs, including complex benefits, claims, and billing issues.
  • Serve as an ongoing point of contact for members, delivering compassionate support via phone, email, chat, and text.
  • Create and build relationships with members and teammates, fostering a strong team environment.
  • Make independent decisions and solve problems creatively, using sound judgment and critical thinking.
  • Plan, prioritize, and organize work to meet established objectives, ensuring timely follow-up and outreach.
  • Maintain accurate family counts on our documentation platform and focus on teamwork and mentoring.
  • Anticipate member needs and proactively seek out external and internal resources to add value.
  • Determine appropriate referrals to other programs/services as needed.
  • Provide high-quality member experiences, as reflected in post-contact surveys and member feedback.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ year of experience helping, resolving, or advocating on behalf of members or customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • The ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9:45am – 6:15pm CST, with occasional overtime.
  • Aged 18 years or older.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • 1+ year of A4Me or 3+ months of Quick Assist experience.
  • Claims processing experience.
  • Experience providing care for children with special needs.
  • Experience within a member-focused healthcare environment or service delivery capacity.
