The Role: Clinical Data Analyst

As a Clinical Data Analyst at Vida, you'll play a critical role in supporting our mission to improve health outcomes and transform the healthcare experience. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams, including customer success, product, and enterprise teams, to drive robust clinical outcomes monitoring and reporting. Your expertise in data analysis, clinical research, and healthcare technology will help us make data-driven decisions and optimize our clinical protocols and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clinical Data Quality Control and Cleaning: Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of clinical data, including biometric, self-reported, survey-based, and claims-based data.
  • Clinical Data Reporting: Develop and maintain reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate health outcomes and drive cost efficiency within clinical protocols and interventions.
  • Clinical Outcomes Analytics: Conduct trend analysis, create visualizations, and develop insights to inform data-driven decisions and optimize clinical protocols and interventions.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with analysts, data scientists, engineers, and clinical researchers to ensure data quality, analytical rigor, and effective communication of insights.
  • Data Management and Governance: Develop and maintain data management processes, ensure data privacy and security, and comply with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree: In a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, computer science, economics, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience as a data analyst in the healthcare technology space or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with SQL, familiarity with Python or R, and experience with business intelligence tools, such as Google Cloud Platform, Looker, or dbt.
  • Clinical Analytics Training: Experience analyzing clinical outcomes data, including biometric and self-reported data, and healthcare claims data.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and Data Privacy Guidelines: Understanding of HIPAA regulations and data privacy guidelines related to protected health information (PHI) and digital health.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Claim Files and Definitions: Familiarity with claim files and definitions.
  • Multidisciplinary Technical Teams: Experience working with multidisciplinary technical teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers.
  • Data/Database Management: Experience in data/database management.
  • Proactive and Collaborative Working Style: Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Startup or Fast-Growing Company Experience: Experience working in a startup or fast-growing company.
  • Basic Statistical Analysis: Knowledge of basic statistical analysis.
  • Interest in Learning New Platforms, Tools, and Innovations: Willingness to learn new platforms, tools, and innovations in data analytics.
