As a Mobile Software Developer In Test 5, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of our mobile applications, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive the development of automated testing strategies and tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the automated testing vision and strategy for Android, collaborating with product engineering teams to ensure seamless integration.
  • Influence Android app development and architecture to improve testability, driving the adoption of best practices and modern architectural patterns.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including developers and product managers, to identify new testing requirements and define product quality coverage for member product areas.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation tests, leveraging existing tools and frameworks to increase observability over the quality of our team's domain.
  • Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and strategies, introducing them to our codebase and development practices to drive continuous improvement.
  • Help modernize and expand test infrastructure for better reliability and performance, supporting our culture of experimentation and innovation.

Essential Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Proven work experience in software development in testing and automation, specifically for Android devices.
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, automation tools, and processes.
  • Hands-on experience with automated testing tools, including extensive knowledge of Espresso/JUnit for Android.
  • Solid knowledge of Java and Kotlin programming languages.
  • In-depth knowledge of Android APIs, modern architectural patterns, and the technical landscape of Android automation.
  • Proficiency in building all layers of the test pyramid using standard testing tools and frameworks.
  • Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases, as well as manage, track, and close automation tickets.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge:

  • Experience working in a distributed architecture comprising multiple systems and services.
  • Ability to analyze data to gain insights for improving app performance and quality.

Compensation and Benefits

Our compensation structure consists solely of an annual salary, with a range of $100,000 - $720,000 for this role. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
