Research Administrator Lead (Remote and Sign-On Bonus Eligible)
                                About the position
Responsibilities
• Coordinate the administrative research process for proposal submissions (pre-award) and manage sponsored funds (post-award).
• Assist Aerospace faculty in the development, preparation, and submission of grant and contract proposals.
• Prepare complex budgets, budget justifications, and supporting documentation to meet sponsor and University requirements.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable sponsor and University proposal requirements and deadlines.
• Provide comprehensive financial management and ethical stewardship of University and sponsor funds.
• Review and monitor financial transactions for appropriateness and allowability.
• Meet regularly with assigned faculty to discuss project planning and personnel effort, including financial analysis with projections.
• Advise faculty and leadership on University, federal, and sponsor policies and recommend courses of action.
• Partner with College and central office staff to resolve sponsor, financial, HR, and payroll issues.
• Assist with training of other research administrators and provide backup support for the research administration team.
• Identify, participate in, and lead process improvement activities.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree with seven (7) or more years of progressive grant, finance, and contract experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Demonstrated excellent critical thinking, attention to detail, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of proficiency, speed, and accuracy with Excel and ability to adapt to changing technology.
• Knowledge and application of project management best practices, including deadline management and prioritization.
