About the Role: Customer Service Representative - Medicare
As a Customer Service Representative in our Medicare department, you will be the frontline representative for our customers, handling a wide range of inquiries and issues related to claims, benefits, enrollment, member portal, ID cards, and more. This role requires a unique blend of technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and exceptional customer service abilities. Our ideal candidate is someone who can empathize with customers, resolve their issues efficiently, and maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound customer calls with a focus on resolving issues related to Medicare services, including claims, benefits, and enrollment.
- Provide clear, concise, and professional communication to customers, ensuring that complex information is conveyed effectively.
- Utilize multiple systems simultaneously to access customer information, process requests, and resolve issues.
- Demonstrate empathy and understanding in interactions with customers, maintaining a customer-centric approach.
- Work flexible hours, including late nights and weekends, as part of a 37.5 hour workweek, with potential for overtime.
- Maintain a high level of productivity and adhere to quality standards, ensuring a 5-star service experience for customers.
Essential Qualifications
- Previous experience in a call center or customer service environment, handling inbound calls.
- Strong customer-focused competencies, with a proven track record of delivering excellent service.
- Empathy and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex customer issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex messages clearly over the phone.
- Ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
- Scoring 80% or above on the eSkills test is mandatory.
Preferred Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, coupled with at least 2 years of customer service or call center experience.
- Experience within the healthcare industry, particularly with Medicare services.
- Previous experience handling inbound calls in a call center environment.
- A medical background is considered advantageous.
