About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large, complex, enterprise-level projects that expand globally. Your strong ability to ideate opportunities and solutions, combined with your collaborative and effective execution skills, will enable you to bring projects to life and deliver complex, value-driven initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage all project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies, including anticipating and making trade-offs, and balancing business needs versus constraints.
  • Complete relevant resourcing and budget documentation to support the project, in line with Deckers' global processes (e.g., Project Charters and Level of Estimates).
  • Provide overall project leadership and management of all aspects of a given project, including requirements gathering, solution design and delivery, testing, change management, and implementation.
  • Provide project reporting and status to senior management, ensuring transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage third-party suppliers and their contracted project delivery services, as required, to ensure seamless execution and delivery.

Who You Are

To succeed in this role, you'll be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, able to navigate complex, fast-paced environments with ease. You'll be comfortable with ambiguous requests and able to seek out details by collaborating with cross-functional teams to define solution paths. Your great attention to detail, combined with your problem-solving skills, will enable you to identify and mitigate risks, ensuring project success.

Essential Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience as a project manager, delivering global enterprise projects using traditional project management methodologies and frameworks such as Waterfall, Scrum, Kanban, SAFE, and LESS.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications, Atlassian family of products (e.g., Jira and Confluence), and SharePoint.
  • Experience working on cloud-based solutions and products, with a strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • A project-related qualification, such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2 Practitioner, CSM ScrumMaster, or CSPO Product Owner, is highly desirable.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a global, matrixed organization, with a strong understanding of cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and practices, with experience in scaling Agile frameworks for large, complex projects.
  • Experience with project management tools and software, such as Asana, Trello, or MS Project, with the ability to adapt to new tools and technologies.
  • A strong understanding of business operations, with experience in managing budgets, resources, and project finances.

Skills and Competencies

To excel in this role, you'll possess a unique blend of skills and competencies, including:

  • Strategic thinking: Ability to develop and execute project strategies that align with business objectives, with a strong understanding of the organization's goals and priorities.
  • Collaboration and influencing: Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders, including team members, suppliers, and senior management, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving and adaptability: Ability to navigate complex, ambiguous environments, with a strong ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
  • Results-driven: Strong focus on delivering project results, with a commitment to quality, timelines, and budget, and a willingness to take ownership and accountability for project outcomes.
