About the Role
We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Customer Support Representative to join our team. As a Technical Customer Support Representative, you will be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing top-notch support and resolving technical issues with our computer software and hardware. Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Technical Issues: Identify, investigate, and resolve customer questions or problems with computer software and hardware.
- Provide Multi-Channel Support: Offer email, chat, and telephone support to end-users experiencing technical difficulties.
- Apply Technical Knowledge: Utilize knowledge of computer software, hardware, and procedures to solve problems and guide users through diagnostic and troubleshooting processes.
- Escalate Urgent Support Situations: Identify and escalate support situations requiring urgent attention.
- Document Resolutions and Track Support Requests: Thoroughly document resolutions and track support requests via our computerized ticketing system.
- Stay Current with Product Upgrades and Business Updates: Stay up-to-date with product upgrades, system information, and business updates.
- Collaborate with Team Members: Collaborate with other team members to research and resolve problems.
- Perform Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Technical Proficiency: Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software.
- Computer Software and Hardware Knowledge: Thorough understanding of computer software and hardware, including desktop computers, network devices, and peripherals.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Interpersonal and Customer Service Skills: Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Professional Telephone Manner: Professional and pleasant telephone manner.
- Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Willingness to Participate in Quality Assurance: Willingness to have telephone conversations monitored for quality assurance.
Education and Experience:
- Associate's Degree: Associate's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- Customer Technical Support Experience: 2+ years of experience in customer technical support preferred.
