Job Overview
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work as a Lead Information Tasks Examiner, utilizing your technical expertise to investigate stage and data quality issues, and remediate problems before they impact the company's products and services. As a key member of the Client Information Items Group, you will collaborate with various technology teams to drive continuous improvement, implement new monitoring tools, establish new operating procedures, and prepare for the release of new products. Your expertise in data analysis, information security, and problem-solving will be essential in leading production support activities, identifying and resolving production incidents, and analyzing complex technical tasks difficulties within a big data environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead production support activities for a group of data analysis products used to support internal bank operations
- Act as a key participant in the identification and triage of production incidents affecting the client data analysis platform
- Analyze complex technical tasks difficulties within a big data environment, requiring in-depth assessment and problem-solving skills
- Lead research and create reports related to ongoing production challenges, and present findings to internal stakeholders
- Lead the development of new project processes and platform enhancements, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation
- Collaborate with the inland team to ensure communication and reporting of delivery from the offshore team
- Champion continuous improvement, including devising new strategies and identifying new opportunities
- Contribute to the establishment of performance standards for the team, ensuring operations achieve or exceed performance metrics
- Direct the daily Risk and Control stream of operations, focusing on solutions, methodology, and work guidelines to ensure a successful outcome
- Lead teams to meet deadlines and drive new initiatives, ensuring timely and effective project delivery
- Review, approve, and implement recommended changes to plans, ensuring adaptability and responsiveness to changing requirements
- Collaborate and communicate with employees to resolve initiatives and achieve technology mandates
- Act as a mentor to peers, providing guidance and support to ensure the success of the team
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:
- 2+ years of investigation experience, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, information technology, or a related discipline
- Strong understanding of large data lake environments and experience working with various technology groups to investigate stage and data quality issues
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical tasks difficulties and develop effective solutions
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and teams
Preferred Qualifications
In addition to the essential qualifications, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset:
- 2+ years of experience supporting large data environments, with a strong understanding of data analysis, information security, and problem-solving
- 2+ years of experience delivering ETL, data warehouse, and data analysis capabilities on large data engineering like Hadoop
- 2+ years of experience using a combination of the following tools: HIVE, Panda, Autosys, Grafana, Splunk
- Past experience supporting Kafka and MongoDB, with a strong understanding of data storage and retrieval systems
- Experience working in a remote or hybrid work environment, with the ability to self-motivate and manage time effectively
