Why This Role Is a Game‑Changer

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home while covering designated retail accounts in the Robinson, Moon, Coraopolis, and Kennedy regions. As a Remote Coca‑Cola Merchandiser, you will be the frontline ambassador of the Coca‑Cola brand inside every grocery aisle, convenience store, and specialty retailer you serve. Your daily actions—stocking shelves, arranging eye‑catching displays, and engaging with store staff and shoppers—directly influence sales performance, brand perception, and the overall shopping experience.

Because the role is remote, you will receive a company‑provided mobile device, detailed route plans, and a comprehensive training program that equips you with the knowledge and tools needed to excel. Immediate commencement is available for candidates who meet the qualifications, so you can start making an impact right away.

Role Overview

The Remote Coca‑Cola Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that Coca‑Cola products are always available, attractively presented, and accurately rotated across all assigned retail locations. You will manage both the backroom inventory and the front‑of‑store display environment, maintain compliance with safety standards, and serve as a trusted point of contact for store managers and customers alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Availability & Shelf Management
    • Inspect store racks, shelving units, coolers, and promotional displays to identify replenishment needs.
    • Transport products from the backroom to the sales floor using manual equipment such as pallet jacks, hand‑trucks, and powered pallet jacks.
    • Replenish, face, and rotate stock to ensure a fresh, full‑face presentation that maximizes sales.
    • Build, modify, and dismantle seasonal or promotional displays according to company guidelines.
    • Maintain accurate signage, ensuring price tags, placement stickers, and promotional graphics are up‑to‑date.
    • Secure any damaged, expired, or defective product and follow proper disposal or return procedures.
  • Backroom Organization & Inventory Control
    • Organize backstock efficiently by consolidating pallets, product shells, and other materials.
    • Monitor backroom inventory levels daily and report any discrepancies to the regional manager.
    • Evaluate damaged or defective items, process returns, and document corrective actions.
    • Operate both powered equipment (e.g., straddle stackers) and manual tools safely and effectively.
    • Complete all required store documentation, including inventory logs, replenishment reports, and safety checklists.
    • Maintain a clean, orderly backroom environment that complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Communication & Collaboration
    • Maintain open lines of communication with store personnel, reporting status updates, inventory concerns, and any operational challenges.
    • Identify and report unsafe working conditions immediately to both store and company safety officers.
    • Attend mandatory company training sessions, certifications, and continuing education opportunities.
    • Adhere strictly to company policies, local, state, and federal regulations governing product handling, equipment operation, and road safety.
  • Customer Service & Brand Advocacy
    • Engage with consumers and store staff, answering product questions, locating items, and resolving any concerns promptly.
    • Represent the Coca‑Cola brand with professionalism, enthusiasm, and a friendly demeanor.
    • Collect feedback from shoppers and store managers to provide insights for future merchandising strategies.
  • Physical Demands & Safety Compliance
    • Perform repetitive lifting, pushing, and pulling of objects up to 50 pounds, including maneuvering equipment across distances of at least 100 yards per shift.
    • Navigate the store environment while kneeling, squatting, reaching overhead, and walking a minimum of four miles per workday.
    • Maintain balance and coordination while operating motor vehicles for route travel between locations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no major moving violations in the past three years).
  • Current vehicle liability insurance and a reliable personal vehicle for work‑related travel.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands outlined above, including standing for at least six hours per shift.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • At least one year of experience in retail replenishment, merchandising, or a related consumer‑goods role.
  • Background in grocery, convenience‑store, or specialty‑retail environments.
  • Experience in physically demanding industries such as construction, food service, manufacturing, or military service.
  • Hands‑on experience operating manual or powered pallet jacks; certification for straddle stacker and powered pallet jack operation is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Some college coursework in business, marketing, communications, or a related field.

Core Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Attention to Detail – Accurate product placement, inventory tracking, and compliance with merchandising standards.
  • Time Management – Efficiently organize routes, prioritize tasks, and meet daily productivity targets.
  • Physical Stamina – Ability to sustain repetitive motions, lift, and transport product loads throughout the shift.

  • Safety Awareness – Proactive identification of hazards and adherence to OSHA and company safety protocols.
  • Problem Solving – Quick resolution of inventory discrepancies, display issues, or customer inquiries.
  • Technology Proficiency – Comfortable using a mobile device or tablet to complete electronic reporting, inventory logs, and route navigation.
