Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Technical Leader to join our team as a Software Engineering Manager, responsible for the development and implementation of the Wells Fargo Job Application Status Screen. This is a fully remote opportunity, offering a modern work style that allows you to work from anywhere, at any time, as long as you have a reliable internet connection. As a Software Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of individual contributor engineers, ensuring the quality, security, accessibility, scalability, and flexibility of solutions developed by the team or third-party vendors. Key Responsibilities • Manage a team of individual contributor engineers, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure their professional and technical growth. • Participate in the development of the technical strategy and roadmap for the IT Application Portfolio, collaborating with business product managers, lead systems engineers, and other stakeholders. • Identify and recommend opportunities for developing product functional and technical strategies, as well as the improvement of significant short and long-term product roadmaps. • Determine and resolve issues related to key outcomes of engineering teams, ensuring that business targets are met. • Direct engineering teams to deliver responsibilities aligned with key product needs, interpreting and developing security, stability, and scalability within key areas of technology risk. • Collaborate and communicate with agile teams and product managers to drive results, as well as directly with third-party vendors and technology service providers. • Manage the distribution of people and financial resources for technology engineering, tutoring and guiding talent development of direct reports, and assisting with recruiting talent. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: • 4+ years of programming experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. • 2+ years of management experience. • 2+ years of coordinated software delivery with geographically dispersed teams. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: • ServiceNow client and delivery experience. • Experience working with agile teams and product managers. • Strong understanding of technology risk and security, stability, and scalability.
