Position Summary

The Non‑CDL Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of pre‑ordered beverage products to assigned accounts across designated routes. You will handle merchandise, maintain inventory accuracy, provide exceptional customer service, and collaborate with internal teams to solve challenges and enhance the overall delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Route Management: Execute daily delivery routes, ensuring on‑time delivery of beverages, promotional displays, and merchandising materials in accordance with company standards.
  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers professionally, answer product inquiries, and resolve any issues promptly, reinforcing Heartland Coca‑Cola’s reputation for service excellence.
  • Inventory Handling: Load, unload, and rotate stock using powered pallet jacks and manual carts; verify product counts against invoices and return unused or damaged items to the warehouse.
  • Financial Transactions: Generate electronic invoices, collect cash or electronic payments, and reconcile daily accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Compliance & Safety: Adhere to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, maintain a clean driving record, and follow internal safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, inventory, and warehouse teams to address delivery exceptions, stock shortages, or promotional initiatives.
  • Technology Utilization: Operate handheld devices and routing software to capture delivery confirmations, update inventory status, and communicate real‑time updates to the dispatch center.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED (preferred).
  • Minimum of one year of professional work experience, preferably in delivery, logistics, or a customer‑service environment.
  • Valid State Driver’s License:
    • Class E license for Missouri; Class C license for Illinois, Iowa, and Kansas.
  • Clean driving record that meets Heartland Coca‑Cola’s Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) guidelines.
  • Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lb. regularly and operate powered industrial trucks (PIT) after certification.
  • Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact courteously with a diverse customer base.
  • Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with handheld devices, email, and routing software.
  • Minimum age of 21 and eligibility to work legally in the United States.
