Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Service Representative at blithequark, your primary focus will be on establishing and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction through various communication channels, including telephone, email, and faxes. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Placing and receiving calls and faxes to patients and doctor's offices for prescription refills, as well as providing information and education on mail order pharmacy benefits available.
  • Responding accurately, promptly, and courteously to patient questions and inquiries, ensuring that all interactions are handled with professionalism and empathy.
  • Promoting one-stop service to patients by assisting with routine questions concerning their pharmacy benefits and referring calls appropriately to applicable support areas when necessary.
  • Handling incoming calls from patients to place refill orders, assist with general co-pay inquiries, and order status inquiries, ensuring that all requests are processed efficiently and effectively.
  • Providing timely and accurate information to incoming patient order status and product knowledge requests, demonstrating a strong understanding of our pharmacy benefits and services.
  • Accurately documenting each call taken or placed, maintaining detailed records of customer interactions and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications:

  • 1+ year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or pharmacy setting, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • 1+ year of computer experience, with proficiency in using various software applications and technology systems to manage customer interactions and data.
  • Strong knowledge of patient focus principles, with the ability to understand and address the unique needs and concerns of our patients.
  • Familiarity with drug names and products, as well as the refill process and refill quantities available to patients, demonstrating a strong foundation in pharmacy operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle multiple functions within the same call and resolve customer issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to focus on the task at hand with little to no disruption and maintain a high level of professionalism in all interactions.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following preferred qualifications will be considered an asset for this role:

  • Previous experience working in a call center or customer service environment, with a strong understanding of call handling procedures and customer service principles.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA laws and medical adverse events, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding regulatory requirements.
