Project Controller - Remote
                                About the position
Responsibilities
• Compile and prepare monthly financial reports to provide insights into budget status, expenses, and projections.
• Coordinate with various departments to gather and verify financial data, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Analyze variances and assist in the identification of potential financial discrepancies or opportunities for cost-saving.
• Prepare financial summaries for senior management to facilitate decision-making.
• Maintain and update project tracking systems with current progress, milestones, and deliverables.
• Ensure that all relevant project data (budget, timelines, status updates) is accurately reflected and accessible to all stakeholders.
• Collaborate with project managers and teams to gather information and keep trackers current.
• Monitor project timelines and budgets to ensure adherence to project plans and report on any delays or budget overruns.
• Provide monthly status reports that combine both financial and project performance data for leadership review.
• Highlight key issues, risks, or opportunities identified through financial tracking or project monitoring.
• Support the preparation of any ad-hoc financial or project analysis requests.
• Serve as a key point of contact for financial and project tracking inquiries.
• Work closely with project managers, department heads, and finance teams to ensure smooth operations and timely updates.
• Assist with process improvements to enhance efficiency and data accuracy in financial and project tracking.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in financial reporting, project tracking, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling) and project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, MS Project).
• Experience with financial reporting software and project management systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Problem-solving mindset and the ability to anticipate issues and proactively address them.
• Ability to work from home, remotely, and support Eastern Standard Time hours.
