If so, let s talk! Our client is actively seeking a talented Lead Platform Engineer (ServiceNow) to work with a team located in Atlanta, GA. This is a permanent job opportunity with our client. This is a hybrid position with 2 days per week in office required. Job Overview: • Will be a primary technical solution consultant within the team you reside which includes high level solutioning, gain technical alignment with stakeholders, and ensure solutions fit within the architectural guardrails. • Assists in design efforts to modify and add new functionality to ServiceNow modules, including designing functional specifications for Interfaces, Extensions, Workflows, integrations, Conversions, and Reports. • Provides subject matter expertise not only in ServiceNow, but in one or more of the surrounding tools / technology areas including: JavaScript, ReactJS, Web Services, Microservices, AWS, Azure, CICD, GraphQL, REST, MidServers, Rally, PagerDuty, New Relic, Splunk, understanding of DevOps practices. • Partners with Product Owners to understand their needs and develop innovative solution options that balance timeliness, scope, complexity, and cost. • Develops a deeper understanding of business needs from key service offerings such as Finance & Accounting, Human Resources, Product Management, and how technology solutions impact current and future state business processes and controls. • Performs work within an Agile development team and fosters a team mindset with all delivery team members to work towards shared goals and objectives. Understands agile software methodology and tools (Rally). • Works with architect and software engineer to prepare and maintain technical design documentation for complex solutions. • Understands and follows best practices as defined by engineering team and platform vendors. • Collaborates with Operations Team to prepare support documentation. • Knows which technologies and/or ServiceNow modules can accomplish customer goals, and when customizations would be required. • Understands software development languages including JavaScript, Java, C#, .NET Core, Angular, ReactJS. Can convey limitations of individual technologies and recommend solutions based on that understanding. May occasionally write code. • Designs test data scenarios and can assist in the creation of automated test scripts from within ServiceNow to modify existing and create new test data. • Serves as level 3 support and resolves critical production issues which are escalated beyond level 2 support personnel. • Develops a deep understanding of our clients applications and their interdependencies with ServiceNow applications, customers, and business processes within the areas they support. • Able to interact and build trusted relationships with all levels of personnel, including management, from both business and technology teams. • Experienced in developing business case documents along with a cost/benefit analysis. • Knows how to identify risks and escalate potential business issues. Qualifications: • B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Science or related area, or equivalent work experience (4+ years of hands-on ServiceNow Platform experience) • Ideal candidate would have 4+ years of experience working hands-on with the ServiceNow platform to deliver business solutions. • Implementation experience with ServiceNow Suite of applications including in the following modules Preferred: ITOM, CMDB, Service Portal, Service Catalog, ITSM Suite, ITBM Suite Desired: Asset Mgt, App Engine • Know the OOB product capabilities and the roadmap for those capabilities • Experience with Rally Agile software is a plus • Experience Importing/Exporting data via XML or import set loading • Experience operating in a scaled agile delivery framework and working in an Agile delivery model on a Scrum team is valued • Experience with business modeling, requirements gathering and management tools. • Experience with test management and test automation software. • Knowledge of ServiceNow Table API and extended table structures. • Knowledgeable in areas of business analysis (as defined by BABOK), including requirements planning, management, elicitation, communication, documentation, and solution validation. Competencies/Skills: • Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. • Ability to think strategically, analytically, solve problems, make decisions, and collaborate with a team in a fast-paced environment. • Understands big picture to assess impacts across ServiceNow modules • Strong understanding of software development techniques; specifically scripting languages. • Basic proficiency understanding JavaScript. • Candidate must also have solid planning and organization skills, strong attention to detail, and be customer focused. Knowledge of MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, Project, etc.) and related software programs is essential. • ITIL and/or DevOps background is a plus • Accomplishments (Degrees, Certifications, Languages): • ServiceNow System Administrator Certification • ServiceNow Developer Certification is a plus. • M.S., Ph.D., or other advanced degree a plus. The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
