Cashier/Customer Service

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions efficiently. You will play a crucial part in creating a positive shopping experience, ensuring customer satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our retail operations.

Responsibilities
• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their inquiries and purchases.
• Operate the cash register and handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
• Process sales transactions using the POS system, including returns and exchanges.
• Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and services to effectively sell and upsell items to customers.
• Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Assist in inventory management by restocking shelves and conducting regular inventory checks.
• Provide excellent phone etiquette when answering customer calls and addressing their concerns or questions.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve store goals and maintain a positive work environment.
• Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support in their roles.

Skills
• Proven experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
• Proficient in operating cash registers and handling cash transactions accurately.
• Strong understanding of retail math for effective sales analysis and inventory management.
• Excellent phone etiquette with strong verbal communication skills.
• Ability to sell products effectively while maintaining a customer-focused approach.
• Experience with supervising or training team members is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
