Job description: Overview:Solutions ArchitectLOCATION: Remote U.S.JOB STATUS: Part-timeCLEARANCE: Secret (Active or Eligible)CERTIFICATION: N/ATRAVEL: Less than 10%Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a fully remote Solutions Architect located in the U.S., supporting the development of innovative and competitive technical solutions for new and existing business opportunities. Reporting to the VP, Solutions Architect, this individual will play an essential role in Astrion's growth within the government contracting space, focusing on translating technical requirements into tailored, winning solutions. As a recognized expert within the company, the Solutions Architect will design, research, and develop highly advanced applications that may result in new product or business opportunities for Astrion. This individual will also contribute to efforts to capture new business through technical work and capability briefings.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solution architecture, with extensive experience in analyzing customer needs, collaborating with technical teams, and supporting proposal efforts. This position requires a demonstrated ability to develop technical solutions that align with customer requirements and organizational goals, with an emphasis on execution and collaborationREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSExperience: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) with 12–15 years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 10–13 years of experience in solution architecture or related technical roles within the federal government sector. Experience in the defense sector is a plus.Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of federal sector technologies, mission requirements, and emerging trends, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into effective solutions.Collaboration Skills: Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with technical experts, capture personnel, and proposal staff.Analytical Thinking: Proven ability to analyze customer needs, identify gaps, and develop tailored solutions that align with organizational strengths and goals.Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and concisely.Security Clearance: Active security clearance (or the ability to obtain one) is preferred.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop Tailored Solutions: Collaborate with internal technical teams, capture personnel, and proposal staff to develop solutions that align with customer needs and Astrion's technical capabilities. Support the development of compliant and compelling technical proposals.Contribute to the Capability Catalog: Assist in maintaining and refining Astrion's capability catalog by documenting current technical competencies and identifying areas for expansion. Collaborate with the MARCOM team to develop marketing materials, such as capability sheets, for external distribution.Design and Research Advanced Applications: Leverage technical expertise to design and develop advanced applications and solutions that drive innovation and align with Astrion’s strategic goals. Propose concepts that may lead to new product or business opportunities.Support Strategic Solutioning: Work closely with the VP, Solutions Architect to identify and position emerging technologies and capabilities that align with marketdemands and organizational goals. Contribute to efforts that ensure Astrion remains competitive in the federal contracting space.Build Collaborative Relationships: Foster relationships with subject matter experts, technical teams, and key stakeholders to support solution development. Quickly establish rapport and credibility with team members to ensure effective collaboration.Capture Support and Capability Briefings: Play a key role in technical work and capability briefings to support business development efforts. Collaborate with capture teams to align technical solutions with customer priorities.Market Awareness: Stay informed on current trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities within the government contracting and defense sectors. Leverage this knowledge to contribute to solution strategies.Organizational Skills: Effectively manage multiple tasks, including solution development efforts, capability documentation, and market research, while ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.What We Offer
