Nurse Abstractor
Description
The Nurse Abstractor will support The Queen’s Medical Center’s commitment to excellence in patient care by abstracting and analyzing clinical data related to sepsis. This role ensures compliance with CMS SEP-1 Core Measures and contributes to ongoing quality improvement initiatives specific to the hospital’s patient population and care protocols.
Abstract clinical data from electronic health records (EHR) for patients meeting sepsis criteria.
Ensure data accuracy and compliance with CMS SEP-1 and internal quality benchmarks.
Collaborate with the hospital’s Sepsis Task Force, Quality Department, and frontline staff to identify trends and improve care delivery.
Participate in audits and provide feedback to clinical teams on documentation practices.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of sepsis protocols, especially those tailored to the local population and hospital standards.
Required Qualifications

Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN required).
Licensure: Active Hawaii RN license.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $42.00/hr.
