Now Hiring: Remote Call Center Representatives – DC Residents Only A DC Government Agency is hiring DC residents with strong customer service and call center experience for a remote position supporting the Agency's Call Center. Position Highlights: • Start Date: Mid-August Selections will be made June 30- July 3rd. • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 6:00 PM • Pay: $18.23/hr + $4.93/hr health & welfare stipend • Location: Fully remote (must have a strong and stable home internet connection – minimum 25 Mbps) • Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen Important Training Requirement: • The first 6 weeks of training are mandatory — no time off is allowed during this period. • If you have planned time off in August or September, please do not apply. What You'll Do: • Answer inbound calls from the public and assist with health coverage questions and applications • Guide callers through eligibility, enrollment, and plan selection • Use internal systems to document calls and manage case details • Provide excellent, respectful service to people from diverse backgrounds Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED • 6 months to 2 years of customer service, healthcare, or call center experience • Strong communication and problem-solving skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel • Experience working with diverse and underserved populations • Comfortable navigating customer service and CRM software • Able to work in a fast-paced, structured environment Remote Work Requirements: • Reliable home internet (25 Mbps or faster) • A quiet, distraction-free workspace • Must stay engaged and responsive during work hours, including calls, emails, and Microsoft Teams Note: This could become a long-term role.
