Licensed Vocational Nurse - Same Day Surgery

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our dynamic team in the Same Day Surgery Unit at the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System. About the Role:
In this exciting opportunity, you will have the chance to work in a fast-paced and rewarding environment, utilizing your skills and expertise to deliver exceptional care to our patients. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Completing routine assignments independently and in accordance with unit standards and established guidelines
 - Providing nursing care to patients and families, including administering medications, collecting laboratory specimens, and performing standard clinical diagnostic screenings
 - Participating in Federal clinical initiatives, such as vaccination programs, and assisting with diagnostic and treatment procedures
 - Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes and improve organizational performance
 - Adhering to patient teaching protocols, occupational growth and development, and completing assignments in the Federal Talent Management System (TMS) learning platform

Requirements:
To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you must:
- Be a U.S. Citizen
 - Be a graduate of a practical or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State accrediting agency and/or the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing
 - Have at least one year of experience as an LPN or LVN, fully meeting all performance requirements for the GS 5 level
 - Be proficient in written and spoken English
 - Pass a background/security investigation and pre-employment physical examination
