Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented Patient Education Specialist to join our team on a full-time basis (1.0 FTE, 80 hours per two-week period), working day shifts with no weekend rotations. As a Patient Education Specialist, you will be responsible for creating, curating, and maintaining patient education content across various platforms, ensuring that materials are accurate, accessible, and engaging for patients of diverse backgrounds and health literacy levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, organize, and maintain patient education content across various platforms, including articles, brochures, infographics, and video scripts.
  • Manage patient education projects using content management systems and workflows, ensuring versioning controls and compliance.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and integrate healthcare best practices into content.
  • Evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of educational materials and implement improvements based on feedback and analytics.
  • Communicate regularly on the status and release of new content across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Health Education, Medical Writing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare content creation/management, including knowledge of health literacy principles, patient education best practices, and healthcare regulations.
  • Editorial and project management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Communications, Health Education, Medical Writing, or a related field.
