Job Description

We're looking for an Associate Supervisor who can revitalize Amazon's customer obsession in a fast-paced retail environment. As an Assistant Manager, you'll lead a team of associates to deliver a world-class shopping experience, drive results, and maintain a dynamic store culture built on customer focus, trust, respect, continuous learning, safety, and fun.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the supervisor on duty, focused on delivering results while empowering a positive customer and employee experience
  • Managing a team of associates, including communicating expectations, managing performance, providing regular feedback, and supporting career development
  • Delegating effectively to drive results, including executing standard operating procedures, identifying areas for improvement, implementing solutions, and providing ongoing feedback to store employees
  • Maintaining a culture of engagement by regularly listening to feedback from leaders, associates, and customers and implementing solutions to address issues
  • Identifying areas of opportunity, determining root causes, and seeking help to implement solutions to continuously improve the overall performance and culture of the store
  • Maintaining a safe, clean, and secure environment to ensure the safety of all employees, customers, and products in the store

Essential Capabilities

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in a customer-facing retail, hospitality, or grocery environment or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience

Preferred Capabilities

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • 2+ years of Amazon New Stores (Blue Badge/FTE) experience
  • 2+ years of customer-facing grocery industry experience
  • Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working independently in an ambiguous environment with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data and metrics to support assumptions and implement effective solutions
  • Demonstrated success in problem-solving and delivering results
  • Demonstrated ability to engage, hire, and develop high-performing teams
  • Passion for Amazon and commitment to delighting customers
